Ben Whittenburg serves as a commercial real estate agent and partner/owner at Gaut • Whittenburg • Emerson Commercial Real Estate, specializing in the sale and lease of retail, office, industrial, and land.

Prior to being a partner/owner at Gaut • Whittenburg • Emerson Commercial Real Estate, Ben was a Senior Advisor for Sperry Van Ness/McCartt & Associates and the executive sales manager for the Texas District & County Attorney's Association in Austin.

Ben currently handles the leasing of over 600,000 square feet of retail space in Amarillo. Some notable previous transactions include Ben representing the Amarillo Economic Development Corporation in the purchase of 190 acres of land on Georgia, a portion of which is being developed into a 200,000-sqaure-foot Cacique food processing facility. He assisted Amazon in the purchase of 110 acres of land being developed into a 1,000,000 sf distribution facility. Ben also handled the sale of 105 acres of land from Attebury Elevators to Caviness Beef Packers that is being developed into a new ground beef facility.

Ben Represented the City of Amarillo in the sale of 370 acres of land on I-40 to be developed into the $670 million dollar beef processing facility.
Ben acted as an intermediary in the sale of the former 57,000 sf Albertson's on I-40 to Amarillo College.
Represented Texas Oncology in the purchase of 5.5 acres of medical land to be developed into a new 50,000-square-foot Cancer Center.
Represents The Pilchers Group in the leasing of over 280,000 sf of retail space in Amarillo.
Represented the Amarillo Economic Development Corporation in the purchase of 190 acres of land, a portion of which is going to be developed into a 200,000-sqaure-foot Cacique food processing facility.
Handled the sale of 105 acres of land from Attebury Elevators to Caviness Beef Packers to be developed into a new Caviness packing facility.
Assisted Amazon in the purchase of 110 acres of land being developed into a 1,000,000 sf distribution facility.
Represented the City of Amarillo in the disposition of 3 tracts of land at the corner of SE 34th & Osage.
Represented MWI/Microbeef in the lease of their 70,000 sf warehouse/office.
Handled the sale of 621 acres of prime development land located between Soncy and Coulter on Loop 335.
Handled the sale of the former 113,000 sf Tech Spray warehouse and office to Affiliated Foods/Pure Water.
Handled the sale of the Class "A", 17,000 sf former ProAg office to Attebury Grain.
Represented the landlord in the long term lease of the former Big 5 Sporting Goods to Skechers on I-40.
Represented the Texas District & Co. Attorney's Association in their lease of 9,836 sf office space and subsequent sale of their former office in downtown Austin, TX
Represented Budweiser in the sale of the 110 acre I-40 site developed into FedEx's new ground transportation facility, WesTex Document, & the future home of the Big Texan Steak Ranch.
Represented a local investor in the lease of over 300,000 sf of industrial space.
Leased Wolflin Pointe Shopping Center to 98% occupancy in 8 Months from opening for tenants.
Represented Dr. Pepper (The American Bottling Company) in the lease of their distribution facility on I-40.
Represented Dollar General in the development of 4 area locations.
Represented GTM Manufacturing in the lease of their 81,000 sf industrial facility formerly occupied by Ben E. Keith.
Currently responsible for leasing over 600,000-sqaure-feet of retail space.
